Quality of manufacturing is ensured from design, procurement, inward QC, assembly, and 100% testing. More stress is on quality manufacturing, and the electronic assembly is carried out on automated machines, like wave soldering, SMT reflow with pick-n-place machines.

Data Acquisition Systems

We have made many data acquisitions in the past for BARC, NPC and others. They have been catering to up-to 1020 analog inputs from a modest of 16 inputs. Our engineers design the hardware and software in house. The salient points are listed below.

The field interface unit is always separate from the operator interface unit & is modular linked on RS-485 network. The system capacity can, normally be increased by adding few field modules.

The operator interaction is using windows based GUI.

An outage of the operator unit does not affect the field functions, data scanning functions. Such systems are working at KAPS, BARC Tarapur, TAPS, Hall-7 BARC for last five years.

Power Line Analysers & Controllers

This is a range of Panel mount and portable instruments, which monitors plant loads, and records energy consumption. It computes True RMS Voltage, Current, power factor and all other related parameters. It can also be used to control the demand of the plant, and if the projected plant demand is exceeding the Maximum Demand, some auxiliary loads can be tripped with the help of various digital outputs. All the units are capable of communicating over a RS485 serial bus, to a central computer. The central computer can access 32 such controller, and record the trends of various parameters. These trends can later on be utilized to reduce wasteful energy consumption.

Critical Path Network Diagram

We are developing software for drawing the Critical Path Network based on the user-entered activities, their duration and predecessors. This is required by the planning engineers to optimise the job completion time.

PWM AC Drives

High Frequency Induction Heating Machine     

MOSFET based, 30-100Khz, auto tuning, induction-heating machine of 7.5KW was designed for induction hardening and cap sealing applications.

Universal Testing Machine controller

This is laboratory type equipment, for carrying out tension, compression & bend tests on various materials.
